Summit Community Power Works Energy Challenge

Calling all Leadership Teams!

Summit Community Power Works has just launched a new community resource to help us meet our community’s climate goals, and Park City wants to challenge YOU to take the #SCPWChallenge

Use this handy tool to guide you through seventy actions to take at home to save energy and money, and that all adds up to benefit our community’s carbon footprint. Actions cover many lifestyle choices, and range from easy to challenging. There’s even a sorting option for renters, so even if you don’t own your own home, you can still benefit and win.

Win? An exciting part of this platform is that it’s geared for teams to compete and win prizes by saving carbon. Please sign up today (, form a team for your Leadership class (or join your cohort if someone beat you to it), invite your classmates, and start logging actions. The winning team will be recognized and rewarded with glory and prizes. Be fast, the first awards will be given during the first week of October! For more information, contact

Art Pianos For All Is Looking For Artists

Artist Kylie Millward painting the piano at the Kimball Junction Transit Center last summer.

Art Pianos For All (born on City Tour 2011 to Ft. Collins, Colorado), in cooperation with the Summit County Public Art Advisory Board, is actively looking for artists to hire and pianos to decorate. We’re going to be placing a piano at one of the new Summit County Fairgrounds buildings and at the new County Services Building in Kamas this summer. Looking for donations of full-size upright pianos in good working order (needing a tune is OK) and we’ll arrange to have it picked up. We also need talented artists to decorate the pianos. The artist gig pays $1000 and the applications are due in June.
Get an artist application at
or contact or call Mark at 435-649-0002 for more information.
Art Pianos For All is a local non-profit group seeking to bring back the piano as a centerpiece of music, community, art and fun in Park City and Summit County, Utah. Artist decorated pianos are placed in public areas to be played and enjoyed by all.
